Fashion Alive - the third in a series of labs

Università degli Studi della Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” is the Italian partner of the Fashion Alive project.

Taking place on November 24, 2022 and organized by Fashion Alive partners UNICAMPANIA, the workshop focused on sustainable fashion research by experimenting with the cultural heritage and analysing the typical handicraft textile manufactures of the Campania region.

Analyzing traditional textile manufacturing methods

Various innovative approaches are generally tried out in these workshops, using new and traditional technologies, with which to give continuity to the trousseau tradition.

Moving around a transdisciplinary vision that connects different knowledge  such as fashion and contemporary art, textile manipulation, advanced production processes – the workshop sought to investigate an experimental circular fashion system through the hybridisation of particular craft techniques.
